Waiting On Wednesday (319) Romantic Behavior (Bad Behavior #4) by L.A. Witt and Cari Z.

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event, previously hosted by Breaking The Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating.

This my favorite day of the week because I love sharing and discovering new books.

Expected publication: January 15th 2018 by Riptide Publishing

Synopsis from Goodreads:

Detective Andreas Ruffner is no fool—he’s found a man who loves him, puts up with him, and has stuck with him through hell and back, and it’s time to put a ring on it. Darren Corliss is the love of his life, and he wants the whole world to know it.

Now the fun part—the wedding!

Well, after the not-so-fun part of planning the wedding in between dealing with overbearing and impossible-to-please family members. With future mothers-in-law driving them both up a wall, the guest list growing out of control, and the wedding getting ever more complicated, Darren and Andreas have to wonder if they’re in over their heads.

But they’re going to make it to the altar if it kills them . . . and at this rate, it just might.

Last week, my WoW post featured Reckless Behavior, the 3rd book in this series. Thankfully, the 4th book, Romantic Behavior comes out just 2 short weeks later!!!! I'm so happy I don't have to wait to read about the wedding.

Waiting On Wednesday (318) Reckless Behavior (Bad Behavior #3) by L.A. Witt and Cari Z.

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event, previously hosted by Breaking The Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating.

This my favorite day of the week because I love sharing and discovering new books.

Expected publication: January 1st 2018 by Riptide Publishing

Synopsis from Goodreads:

After too many years of putting his job first, Detective Andreas Ruffner is getting his priorities straight. He’s ready to spend some quality time with his adult kids, not to mention come clean about some things he should’ve told them a long time ago. And introduce them to his partner and boyfriend, Darren Corliss.

But in a heartbeat, a family dinner turns into Andreas’s worst nightmare. When the dust settles, one of his kids is hurt, and the other three have been abducted.

Andreas is going to find his kids, and nothing, not even a broken ankle, is going to stop him. Thank God for his sharp, level-headed partner . . . who has a crisis of his own pulling him away when Andreas needs him the most. As both men try to support—and lean on—each other, they get no closer to finding the kids. And the longer the children are missing, the less likely it is they’ll ever be found.

I NEED to find out what happens to my guys!!!! This is going to be the first book that I read in the new year. I can't wait!

Waiting On Wednesday (317) Love, Life, and the List by Kasie West

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event, previously hosted by Breaking The Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating.

This my favorite day of the week because I love sharing and discovering new books.

Expected publication: December 26th 2017 by HarperTeen

Synopsis from Goodreads:

Everyone knows Abby Turner is in love with her best friend, Cooper Wells. Including Cooper Wells. But despite what people tell her, it doesn’t affect their friendship. And she’s practically over it, anyway. What she really can’t get over is when her boss at the local museum tells her that her paintings lack heart.

Art is Abby’s passion and she hopes her future as well. She is determined to change his mind and earn her way into the upcoming exhibit at the gallery. So along with her family’s help, she compiles “The Heart List,” a series of soulstretching experiences that are sure to make her a deeper person and better artist in six weeks or less. When Cooper decides to complete the list along with her, she realizes this list is expanding her heart in more ways than one. Maybe she needs to start another project.

Love, Life, and the List is about a girl who, in an effort to bring more emotional depth to her art, compiles a list of soul-stretching experiences to complete with her best friend—a boy she also happens to be in love with.

This is the first in a set of three standalone books with crossover characters.

I want to read this simply because it's Kasie West.

November Wrap Up and December TBR

Did you see this notice on the top of your Goodreads Read page?

"Note: some of our members have reported that not all read dates are showing on this page. While we work on making sure they correctly display on this page, you can still view your dates on your review or on the book page."

This is a problem for me. When I first encountered this 'known bug' (thanks Goodreads for pointing out the obvious) back in Sept and Oct I thought I was going mad. I could NOT find all of my read books. It got worse and worse until almost ALL of my read list books had no read date. Goodreads solution was to go back in and edit the read date again. For 500 books. Because that's convenient. I sent numerous screenshots to Goodreads just to point out my frustration. After dealing with this for months, they finally put that notice on the read list page. I still can't tell if all of my books are showing in the correct order.

In other news, I can't believe it's December! Where has the year gone??

Holiday reading season is upon us, and I managed to read quite a few novellas already. I always enjoy feel-good stories at this time of year, and I plan on reading more Christmas themed books this month.

I was planning to update my Goodreads challenge to 150 books, but since I'm already past that, I'll definitely have to go up to 160 (at least!)
Books Read in November:

My favorite book in November was Kill Game by Cordelia Kingsbridge. I loved the characters and the beginnings of a romance. I can't wait to read more of this series!

I also enjoyed reading Walking on Thin Ice by Jocelynn Drake, which was a lovely little Christmas story. And Warrior's Cross by Madeleine Urban and Abigail Roux was really good, so I'm hoping I get more info on them in the 5th book in the Cut & Run series (which I plan on reading probably after the new year.)

December TBR:

Comfort and Joy Holiday Anthology
His For The Holidays Christmas Anthology
Men Under the Mistletoe Holiday Anthology

Waiting On Wednesday (316) Kairos by Mary Calmes

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event, previously hosted by Breaking The Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating.

This my favorite day of the week because I love sharing and discovering new books.

Expected publication: December 15th 2017 by Dreamspinner Press

Synopsis from Goodreads:

Sometimes the best day of your life is the one you never saw coming.

Joe Cohen has devoted the past two years of his life to one thing: the care and feeding of Kade Bosa. His partner in their PI business, roommate, and best friend, Kade is everything to Joe, even if their relationship falls short of what Joe desires most. But he won’t push. Kade has suffered a rough road, and Joe’s pretty sure he’s the only thing holding Kade together.

Estranged from his own family, Joe knows the value of desperately holding on to someone dear, but he never expected his present and past to collide just as Kade’s is doing the same. Now they’ve stumbled across evidence that could change their lives: the impact of Kade’s tragic past, their job partnership, and any future Joe might allow himself to wish for….

Definition of kairos: a time when conditions are right for the accomplishment of a crucial action : the opportune and decisive moment

I really, really want to read this, so I'm glad I don't have to wait much longer.
While I haven't enjoyed every Mary Calmes book that I have read, I know what to expect from her for the most part. This book sounds likes another one that I should like.

That challenge quickly escalates into an epic game of Truth or Dare. Erin’s sure she’s got him on lock, but as the night progresses, Warren’s dares intensify, drowning her in lust. But with the past still breathing down their necks, there’s no way either of them can win…
